Sarah Groenewegen was born in Sydney, Australia, but now lives in London, UK. She was awarded a British Empire Model (BEM) in the Queen’s 2016 Birthday Honours for her services to law enforcement and diversity in the workplace.
Her first novel, The Daughters of Earth in Candy Jar’s Lethbridge-Stewart range, was published in July 2017 with a foreword by best-selling author Una McCormack.
She has had essays about Doctor Who and SF published in anthologies including the Time Unincorporated series, Chicks Dig Gaming, Companion Piece (on those stalwart friends of the Doctor in his travels in time and space), and Hugo-nominated Queers Dig Time Lords. Most recently she contributed over 20 entries in 1,001 TV Shows You Must Watch Before You Die.
Her short fiction has won awards (Scarlet Stiletto, 2002) and been published in Big Finish’s Doctor Who line, including the award winning Short Trips: Zodiac. Her latest short, “The Lock-In”, was published by Candy Jar’s Lethbridge-Stewart range in May 2016.
